DF-f

DF-f is a full set of elevator cluster control system designed to tailor a reasonably designed, effective passenger shunting solution for elevator clusters. It comprises two critical components, elevator operator panel and centralized control system. The uncluttered curve shape reconciles with the interior decoration of most buildings. The accessible buttons and card sensing area are disposed in the lower portion of the curve, compared to the touch button area and information indicating area in the upper portion. This sloping design makes information reading and button operation easier. The bottom of the control panel is hollowed out to weaken the perceived heaviness. In contrast, the centralized control system operates scientific scheduling algorithms to enable rational scheduling of multiple elevators during heavy traffic. A staff member or a visitor holding IC card can have their identity recognized and enter the desired floor before taking this elevator. Then the scheduling algorithms reasonably allocate a car. Passengers will be guided to the designated elevator, wait until the door opens. This helps them reduce the waiting time. A passenger without IC card can directly press the quick button to take elevator, or the numeric buttons on the touch screen. A passenger with mobility disabilities, like wheelchair-bound passenger, presses the accessibility button and speaks the desired floor, moves to the designated elevator as suggested in the display, waits until the door opens. Backed by the modified control panel design and scheduling algorithms, DF-f not only provides more efficient services, but also reduces the input cost compared to the centralized control system in traditional elevators. This gives a more affordable and effective alternative for old buildings where reinstalling elevators seem to be infeasible. DF-f is the best fit to an array of scenarios in buildings whether there is any access gate or not, or the face or fingerprint recognition should be added.
