Coffee Table Lapa

The third most important municipality in Paraíba was named after the lagoon that, in the 17th century, bordered the Espinharas River. Known as Lagoa dos Patos, it earned this name due to the abundance of birds that inhabited the area. The lagoon was a vital part of the region's ecosystem and a landmark for early settlers. Over time, it became a symbol of natural beauty and a testament to the region’s rich biodiversity.

Inspired by this rich history, the Lapa table captures the essence of Lagoa dos Patos, the graceful birds, and the imposing Serrote do Espinho Branco hill. This design stimulates the imagination by merging history, art, and design into a single, harmonious piece. The table's contours mimic the soft curves of the lagoon and the organic shapes found in nature, creating a visual connection to the landscape that inspired it.

Our intention was to unite historical landmarks and events of the city with the fluid, organic forms that are widely appreciated in contemporary furniture design.
