COVVI’s mission is to deliver a world-leading bionic prosthetic hand with users and clinicians at its heart. The Nexus Hand combines modular design with advanced functionality, technology, and remote programming support to provide an unrivalled user experience with a powerful level of customisable refinement, both for now and in the future.

The Nexus Hand is the most advanced of its kind for the variety of intuitive and robust grip patterns, and ways to switch from one to the other. It's also the first hand with an e-paper screen, allowing users to easily see which grip they’re in, battery life and system notifications, while the integrated flex wrist is the lowest profile on the market with a single locking button mechanism. And its grip-mapping capabilities allow the user to input personalised and custom-made gesturing into their device with their clinician, all without leaving their home.

Through the connected COVVI Go App and web portal, users and clinicians have access to twenty-four-seven technical support, powered by NetApp and AWS. COVVI can access the ‘Live Config’ of any hand, anywhere, at any time via the cloud; enabling the technical support team to distribute any updates instantaneously to any user globally, without the need for shipping prostheses for lengthy manual maintenance.

For the individual, the Nexus Hand is a complete game changer. Not only does the prosthesis give them back their freedom to carry out everyday tasks independently through COVVI’s modern approach to the silicone glove design, but it also has a huge impact on their mental health. “I feel like a badass superhero, not a disability.”

Users can live their lives to the full, safe in the knowledge that support is there for them whenever they need it – day or night – while the clinician has peace of mind that diagnostics and fault repairs are just a click away.

Nexus by COVVI has been granted six UK patents relating to six different technically innovative aspects of the hand and it has the corresponding patent applications granted or pending in the US and Europe.
