GlowBee is a construction toy designed to encourage hands on learning, creativity and imagination through play. The object is assembled from individual parts that form a small bee, allowing children to explore structure, balance and form through an intuitive building process.

The toy is produced through 3D printing using PLA, a bio based and biodegradable material derived from renewable resources such as sugarcane. Both the object and its packaging are made from PLA, combining black PLA with glow in the dark PLA elements. The glowing parts respond to light exposure and emit a soft glow in low light conditions, adding an element of surprise and interaction.

GlowBee includes glow in the dark wings that enhance curiosity and transform the assembled object into a playful presence beyond daylight use. The packaging follows the same material logic, extending the glow experience from the product to its presentation.

Inspired by the bee as a symbol of cooperation, craftsmanship and harmony, GlowBee combines digital fabrication with storytelling and learning. The project explores how contemporary production methods can be used to create meaningful toys that support exploration, creativity and environmental awareness.

GlowBee is designed and produced by 3D Season as a small scale design object that bridges play, education and sustainable thinking.
