The seesaw is a game tool that is usually fixed in playgrounds, parks and school gardens and allows at least one child to sit at each end and lift and lower each other up and down. A seesaw is a type of lever that is usually supported right at its midpoint. With this design, unlike the others, a weight that can be moved has been added. In this way, even a single child can swing on a seesaw.
Functions that are related to each other are associated with color coding. In addition, it is aimed to easily express how to use the seesaw, thanks to simple geometries and familiar forms.
It is aimed to evoke fun in all visual elements and design decisions in the design. With the chosen forms and colors, it was tried to obtain a solution and appearance that is suitable for the playground and that matches the symbols in the children's minds about entertainment.
By turning the rotating handle positioned in front of the seesaw, the weight is displaced to the right or to the left, which ensures that the mutual load on the lever can be balanced. In its simplest form, the weights of an overweight child and a thin child can be equalized.
When the weights are equalized, even a single child can play on the seesaw. It will be sufficient for the parent only to accompany without participating in the game. The parent can very simply convey the laws of physics, momentum, concepts of charge and weight to the child, using the scaling created by the colors on the seesaw; this will also strengthen the interaction between the two.
