Re:Style is Hyundai’s lifestyle platform for 'saving the planet in style'.
One of our challenges for a sustainable future was lifestyle accessories.
We collected discarded Hyundai's IONIQ parts and remade them into accessories to create a positive cycle by actually putting them on the market.
This is the Re:Style leather bag collection, list of upcycled bags made from spare leather of Hyundai's IONIQ5, practising sustainable resource circulation as a fashion item.
For a sustainable future, we researched combinations of various waste materials and came out with an idea of fashion items using leather discarded from cars, and bag straps using seat belts.
With the mini bags, you can see black/blue straps which are recreation of wasted seat belts. They can be customised for personal items such as bags and pouches, suggesting various upcycle-based design possibilities.
From bag straps to scrap leather mini bags, we aim to practice an eco-friendly life through fashion items and goods made of sustainable materials.
