The STAR CHRONICLE MECHANICAL watch is inspired by Belarusian myths and legends about the Sun and the Moon and our ancestors’ perception of celestial mechanics. Some of the legends are so ancient that they began to exist even before the advent of writing. They were preserved by being passed down mouth-to-mouth to through many generations.

As a visual image of the Moon and Sun on the dial of the watch, a stylisation of the image of the original 16th century coat of arms of Francis Skorina — a figure that has become synonymous with Eastern European bookmaking — was developed.

It is no coincidence that the Moon was depicted in the form of a month to display the Moon on the dial. In the archaic tradition, the Moon and the month were perceived as two different celestial bodies. The month personified the masculine principle, the Moon – the feminine. Compositionally, the dial represents the sky with the Moon and the Sun located on it, made in the style of medieval fine art: massive hands of complex shape, a pattern in the form of a starry sky, and indication elements.

The watches are equipped with a Japanese Miyota 9122 premium automatic movement, featuring 26 ruby stones. They come with calendar discs displaying the date, week day, and month. The case is made of stainless steel. The winding crown is decorated with a voluminous brand emblem. Front and back sapphire glass reliably protects against scratches. The water resistance is up to 100 meters.

The transparent back cover reveals a specially made sector of the movement with a seal in the form of a batleika, where the Sun and Moon appear as the main characters of the “cosmic theater”. The decoration of the mechanism in the form of a batleika — a medieval puppet theater — personifies the theatricality and lyricism with which the ancestors described the phenomena they observed.

The voluminous box is also designed in the style of an improvised batleika. The collection is limited, with only 500 pieces of each model produced.
