The packaging for ALAL Shampoo Series showcases the charm of Eastern aesthetics through modern design, reflecting the brand’s core philosophy of ‘Inheritance of Eastern Herbal Wisdom’. Leveraging the systematic integration of shapes, colors, and materials, it perfectly marries aesthetic minimalism with profound cultural significance.
The ‘circle’ as the core element runs through the whole packaging—including the cap, body, and detailing—resulting in a cohesive visual language. This not only echoes the pursuit of completeness, inclusiveness, and harmony in traditional Chinese culture, but also creates a gentle, balanced form. The cylindrical bottle integrates the ridges of traditional Chinese buildings and the drop-shoulder style of the qipao (a traditional Chinese dress), leading to a meticulously angled shoulder structure. Such a design perfectly blends modern minimalism with Eastern aesthetics, presenting an implicit, elegant style. The vertically arranged text on the bottle, reminiscent of the layout common in traditional Chinese handscrolls, clearly displays herbal ingredients, highlighting the product’s professionalism and scientific credibility.
Rooted in Eastern culture, the packaging applies vermilion red derived from the Forbidden City to the pump head, forming a striking visual focus—conveying the auspicious meaning of ‘great luck at hand’ and significantly improving brand recognition. Red dots are interspersed within the text to serve as dividers, catering to Eastern reading habits and aesthetic preferences. Moreover, beige as the main color creates a clean and soothing atmosphere.
The well-chosen materials deliver a dual expression: the bottle adopts a smooth matte material, giving a skin-like touch to offer users a comfortable experience; the outer box is crafted from raw wood pulp paper without coatings, whose rough, textured surface further suggests herbs as the core ingredients of the product, encouraging users to return to nature and authenticity.
