Good Day Chaise Longue

The Good Day lounge chair was inspired by two artists with contrasting styles recording a song in the studio. Music can be experiential and a low-lying chaise longue chair has the perfect geometry to be immersed in music.



The Good Day lounge chair contrasts a thin floating seat suspended from heavier structural legs. The faceted form allows for a thin visual treatment of the seat and creates sharp movement within the two simple structures. The thin edge detail of the seat allows the massive chaise to appear light and floating yet grounded by the thicker leg structure.



The aluminum seat and legs are sand cast aluminum with an interior steel frame to add strength. The seat and legs are painted or polished depending on the look. The seat pads have a fiberglass backer laminated with foam. The leather is formed over a mold to achieve a clean look. Magnets are embedded in the casting and seat pad to keep the pads secure to the frame and allow for easy removal for cleaning.
