Ideal Coffee Cup

Ceramics in the market is increasingly catering to Western aesthetic taste, causing the lack of Eastern traditional aesthetics in modern design. In response, this coffee cup ingeniously marries traditional craftsmanship with modern design, aiming to break through the homogeneous design of traditional ceramics.

The design team, inspired by the well-known blue and white porcelain from Jingdezhen, China, has made meticulous adjustments to the cobalt glaze formula, and finally created a unique color — “ideal blue”. The color, combined with the traditional full painting technique derived from the blue and white porcelain, showcases the classical charm, and caters to modern aesthetic trends.

Different from traditional ceramics featuring a glossy finish and a smooth texture, this product applies the brand’s self-developed “eggshell glaze” to its outer wall, which leads to a matte finish and a frosted texture like the eggshell surface. In this way, the cup not only exudes calmness and low-key elegance, but also is comfortable to grip and not easy to slip.

Additionally, the team has designed the cup as a stable and dignified trapezoid-shaped body, with the diameter difference between the top and the bottom set to about 1 cm. Such a design meets modern aesthetic preference, and highlights the traditional cultural concept of “Couple Hardness With Softness” through the straight and curved lines in harmony.
