Individual designers, design studios, brands, manufacturers, teams, and students from around the world.

Ideas at different stages.

Concepts, work in progress, and completed products are eligible. Submitted work must fall within the competition’s five-year project window.

A $30 annual administrative fee applies per entrant. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Additional-category pricing applies when submitted with the first entry; later submissions are charged at the first-entry rate.

Entries are evaluated on their own merits through blind judging. An international jury considers four dimensions of product design.

Can I enter as an individual or a team?

Yes. Individuals and teams can enter. Designers, studios, brands, manufacturers, and students are among the eligible entrants.

Can I enter a concept or a work in progress?

Yes. Concepts, completed products, and work in progress may be submitted. Explain the development stage clearly and review the requirements for your category.

Do I need to send a physical product?

No. Submit your product images and project description online. A physical sample is not required.

Can the same work enter more than one category?

Yes. Choose the relevant categories when you submit. Each additional category carries its own fee. See the additional-category row under Deadlines & entry fees.

Can I edit an entry after payment?

Entries can be edited until the judging period begins. Check your account and the current competition schedule before making changes.

Is there an acceptance fee if I win?

No award acceptance fee is charged. Gold and Silver winners can choose to purchase an AVA statuette; it is not required to accept their recognition.
