Holzkern Marks a Milestone for Lauri Timepiece Collection at the NY Product Design Awards
Grateful for this recognition. Lauri for Holzkern received Gold at the New York Product Design Awards. The dial is made from a real leaf. That made the use of a conventional solar movement a real challenge, due to the lack of transparency. Inspired by photosynthesis, the concept was to let the leaf absorb sunlight during the day and softly glow in the dark using the stored energy.
