The KUUCI Multi-Functional Adjustable Sofa enables extensive posture adjustment from standard sitting to semi-reclining positions through motorized headrest and leg rest controls, addressing users' need for postural freedom. In designing for shared usage scenarios, the team placed particular emphasis on balancing comfort with personal boundaries, seeking to foster intimate connection while preserving individual autonomy through thoughtful spatial design.
This led to the implementation of an asymmetric motorization strategy: only the two ends feature adjustment capabilities, while the central section remains a static natural zone, creating what functions as a "buffer area." This configuration allows users on either side personalized adjustment space, while the fixed central section provides a stable psychological anchor point. Even when sitting close together, users experience no sense of intrusion, making this design particularly suitable for scenarios where one person reads while another watches content, or for quiet late-night conversations.
The inner armrests integrate one-touch control modules for headrest and leg rest adjustments, along with both USB and Type-C ports to accommodate convenient power access for dual users. The Type-C port supports Power Delivery fast charging and high-speed data transfer, meeting not only current charging and light office needs but also allowing for future connectivity with smart wearables, health monitoring devices, and even compact AI terminals, ensuring long-term adaptability.
Through functional rationality, this design responds to the rhythm of human relationships, embedding humanistic care into every detail. The sofa thus becomes a vehicle for a new philosophy of coexistence, "intimacy without intrusion", demonstrating profound understanding of spatial logic and the essence of daily living.
