Washbasin RoundCut

The RoundCut washbasin arose from the idea of ​​building a washbasin that integrates the associated fitting and does not attach it. So it can stand freely in the room as a single piece.
There is no need to position it on the wall and use a wall fitting or a raised floor fitting. This unique design allows the faucet to be attached directly to the floor of the sink

The design, the round shape and the thin edge of 5 millimeters underline this idea. The surface on which the water can run off is designed in such a way that the bathroom fitting can be attached here and the water runs off to the outer wall at the same time.
This creates an evenly round shape with a thin, trimmed edge.
The idea is based on a round trough as it was used in the past, that stands in the middle of the room. The surface on which the water runs off can be realized at different heights. There is the classic height, at which the bathroom fitting looks upwards, and the height at which the bathroom fitting disappears into the niche. In this project, this model serves as a kind of fountain in the room, where fresh water can always be refilled. But it can also be used as a wash basin in a day toilet, which is probably only used as a hand wash basin.
The whole shape is underlined by a rounded edge on the floor, which makes the washbasin appear light, it almost seems to float above the floor. At the top it looks like it has been cut off, hence the name round cut.
Due to its special shape and, above all, the position of the fitting, it is something new and unique and can be used in many other places than just a classic washbasin.
