In disaster areas, temporary settlements, and outdoor environments such as camps, access to basic hygiene infrastructure is often limited. This makes it difficult for individuals to meet daily cleaning needs and can lead to health and comfort issues. In response, the foldable shower system is designed as a portable and practical hygiene solution that operates using physical principles without requiring infrastructure or external mechanisms. It enables rapid setup of hygiene points in disaster situations, supports basic cleaning needs in temporary living areas, and provides an accessible shower option for outdoor activities like camping.
The foldable shower has a compact structure placed on a square base measuring 90 × 90 cm. Within this structure, there are two different water tanks. The water tank inside the shower unit has a capacity of 15 liters, while the external water tank connected to the system has a capacity of 60 liters. This capacity is sufficient to meet the shower needs of a family. The system operates based on simple physical principles, using the user’s own weight. As the pressure applied on the water tank inside the shower unit increases, water rises through the pipeline and flows from the shower head; when the user steps off, the flow stops, thus ensuring water conservation. This method allows the system to function without requiring any infrastructure or external mechanisms.
For privacy, the system includes a roll-up curtain integrated into the upper section. A ceiling-mounted roller allows the curtain to be easily opened and closed, while a handle and fixing mechanism enable users to adjust its height and position according to their needs, offering a more comfortable and adaptable experience.
Thanks to its modular design, the system can be easily assembled and disassembled. All components are designed to fit within a box-like structure formed by the base and top panel, allowing the product to transform into a compact and portable unit when not in use. This feature provides a strong logistical advantage in disaster scenarios and enhances portability for outdoor use, delivering a practical and user-friendly hygiene solution.
