The foundation of the Gut Health Test kit’s innovation is the patent-pending Microbiome Wipe. With the Microbiome Wipe, stool sample collection works exactly the same as using toilet paper after a bowel movement. The Microbiome Wipe is then placed into the plastic collection container where it simply dissolves in a solution, leaving only the stool sample behind. The final step in the process is completed with the multi-functional cap. After screwing on the sample container’s cap, the user can press the button in the top of the cap, puncturing a seal and releasing a crystallized compound stored within the cap. The compound falls through the punctured wall into the stool sample below, preserving the sample for transit to Thorne’s testing facilities. Medical-grade disposable gloves are included to ensure the entire process remains sterile and hygienic.
