CoPath introduces an innovative solution to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce carbon emissions in densely populated urban areas through social ride-pooling. As a pioneering ride-hailing app, CoPath aims to revolutionize Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT), a transit concept characterized by ride-pooled buses operating similarly to taxis but with fares comparable to typical public transit.
While DRT services are often praised for combining the advantages of taxis and public transit, they are generally deemed suitable only for first and last-mile transit connectivity, rather than for urban areas. To address the challenges of routing and ride-matching, CoPath turns ride-sharing into a fun, community-oriented experience.
