Embrião Ring

Inspired by cell division and the beginning of life, the Embrião Ring translates the biological dynamism of cell multiplication into a sculptural piece of jewelry. Its conception is based on the idea of a form that seems to emerge intuitively, cell by cell, revealing the complexity and organic nature of a living organism. The project's challenge was to transform this inspiration into an ergonomic piece capable of harmonizing nature’s apparent imperfection with the technological precision of contemporary high jewelry.

Crafted from recycled 18k gold and lab-grown diamonds, the Embrião Ring brings together contemporary high jewelry and the circular economy. Designed in 3D with anatomical precision and produced using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, the piece embraces zero-waste processes and mining-free gemstones, constituting a manifesto for sustainable luxury.

Its main technical highlight is the flush setting of gemstones directly into the gold spheres. Without traditional prongs that would interrupt the visual flow, the diamonds appear intrinsic to the metal, emerging organically from its cavities. This integration preserves the continuity of the composition and brings its construction closer to the biological inspiration that guides the project.

This attention to visual detail extends to functionality. To ensure maximum comfort in a voluminous sculptural ring, 3D modeling was used to map the anatomy of the hand, allowing the piece to embrace the finger without restricting joint movement. The polished finish of the gold spheres provides an impeccable tactile experience, while the flush setting eliminates sharp edges, preventing the ring from snagging on clothing during everyday wear.

By integrating organic forms, technological precision, and responsible use of gold and lab-grown diamonds, the Embrião Ring demonstrates that the new luxury is deeply connected to innovation and low environmental impact. This vision is realized through its circular, zero-waste philosophy: the use of recycled materials eliminates the socio-environmental damage associated with traditional mining, while the manufacturing and finishing processes ensure the complete recovery and reuse of all waste generated. Thus, the piece honors the concept of life from its initial conception to its final manufacture.
