Halo is an electric kettle designed to be left out on the counter rather than hidden in a cabinet.

The challenge. Variable-temperature kettles tend to look like lab equipment: rows of preset buttons, a busy control base, a plastic gauge window. They work, but they break the look of a considered kitchen. We wanted modern precision in an object that earns its place on the counter.

Function meets form. Every function lives in a single dial on the side. Turn it to set the temperature in 5-degree steps, tap to start, hold three seconds to keep warm for up to an hour, or five seconds to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. No buttons to learn and no base to program, so the silhouette stays as simple as a stovetop kettle.

The form. The familiar dome reads in three bands: a colour-finished stainless-steel crown, a clear glass waist and a stainless collar carrying the light ring, live readout and dial, on a 360-degree cordless base. Three rings mark the form: the cool-touch ring-pull lid, the light ring and the gold foot band on the base. While it heats, the light ring circles the rolling water and the readout follows the rising temperature, so the boil itself becomes the visual moment.

Materials. The water touches only glass and stainless steel. Halo uses metal where kettles usually hide plastic: a stainless lid underside and a removable stainless spout filter. The all-glass body needs no gauge window; it shows the water level from every side.

Quiet safety. A Strix controller switches the kettle off at the boil and cuts the power if it is ever switched on empty. The safety is engineered in rather than displayed, so a kettle designed to be left out is also safe to leave to itself. The handle and ring-pull stay cool.

The range. White, Black and Stainless, each with gold or silver accents.

Halo's identity comes from coherence: form, function, interface and materials resolved through one visual system.
