Designed by Anamika Menon, Akshata Karekar, and Vanshika Shah, IRIS reimagines personal styling as an intuitive dialogue, positioning technology as a companion rather than a tool. Acting as a virtual stylist, it helps users navigate wardrobe choices, experiment with outfits, and engage with fashion thoughtfully.

By addressing decision fatigue from overwhelming options and screen-heavy apps, IRIS transforms daily styling from a transactional task into a human-centered experience. Voice-first interaction enables hands-free engagement, while a carefully designed conversational personality fosters trust, empathy, and emotional connection. Users experience IRIS as a responsive companion attuned to their style and context. By promoting mindful use of existing wardrobes, it also encourages more sustainable fashion behaviors.

Key features include a virtual wardrobe for organizing clothing items, real-time outfit recommendations, and integrated shopping assistance. These features work together to create a cohesive ecosystem that enhances both convenience and user confidence in everyday styling decisions.

Grounded in user research, conversational mapping, and iterative prototyping, IRIS balances clarity, accessibility, and delight in every interaction. Beyond utility, it explores how AI can be emotionally resonant, seamlessly integrated into daily rituals, and supportive of self-expression, redefining routine tasks as opportunities for engagement, confidence, and human-centered innovation.

By combining conversational AI with a reflective interface, IRIS redefines how users interact with personal technology, transforming the routine of getting dressed into a more efficient, informed, and engaging experience.
