Truchet Tile

Truchet Tile is a modular acoustic wall tile crafted from ARCHISONIC® Cotton, a fully circular material made from natural cellulose derived from cotton linters—an agricultural by product that would otherwise go to waste. Measuring 20 × 20 cm, each tile features a surface design inspired by the geometric principles of Father Sébastien Truchet. This historic pattern system allows infinite visual compositions: depending on how the tiles are rotated and arranged, the wall transforms into evolving graphic expressions that shift between order, randomness, and rhythm.

Thanks to its natural composition, ARCHISONIC® Cotton is 100% recyclable and compostable, designed to be seamlessly reintegrated into the production process at end of life without performance loss. The material is coloured using natural earth pigments, avoiding chemical dyes and ensuring a warm, organic aesthetic across its palette of 24 curated tones. Each Truchet tile offers strong acoustic absorption—achieved through the open structure of Cotton—while contributing to a healthier indoor environment by avoiding synthetic binders and maintaining low emission performance.
