The Trade Deck

Most trading card collectors keep their cards in binders and boxes, out of sight. The few display options on the market are mostly wall-mounted frames made from low-cost materials, with no UV protection. Before designing The Trade Deck, we surveyed 500+ collectors. 82% owned 100 or more cards, and 94% were not fully happy with how they store or display them. Many told us they only wanted to show their favorites, while keeping the rest of the collection safe and organized. Several were already Holme & Hadfield customers asking for a card version of their watch or knife case. The Trade Deck is designed around those insights.

It is a display case for collectors of Pokémon, sports cards, and other trading card games, made to sit on a desk, shelf, or sideboard. The design separates the collection into two levels with two different jobs.

The top is a stage. Seven angled pillars hold a collector’s favorite cards toward the viewer. Because most collections are still largely ungraded, the pillars fit graded slabs from every major grading company or raw cards in top-loaders. A 99.7% UV-protective cover keeps the cards safe from fading and dust while leaving them fully visible.

Below the stage, a drawer on smooth-gliding metal runners stores 22 more PSA slabs across two removable trays. Each slot is sized specifically for PSA slabs, so they sit securely. The trays lift out and work as standalone displays, so collectors can rotate cards between the stage and the drawer as their collection changes.

Each case is handcrafted with high-quality materials and finishes chosen to sit alongside the furniture in a home or office. The Trade Deck brings trading cards the same respect Holme & Hadfield gives watches, knives, and coins: a collection worth displaying with pride.
